“Beneath the surface” is another of my earlier works, completed while I was still in hospital. It’s such a grand view of an iceberg, with a hint of the top above water and a great expanse of dark mystery below. It’s metaphorical in some ways – of how we all act, showing only parts of ourselves while hiding a lot of “us” away. I find this painting both peaceful and very powerful.
