Reaching

The #cantfly series of watercolour paintings was inspired after a long admission in hospital, and the challenges faced after discharge.  Each depicts a challenge to re-engage with society, and the fears within that – although you have wings – you will forever be tethered to the ground.

“Reaching” is an optimistic piece, displaying a yearning for something more, something that is just out of reach but worth trying to obtain.
