Path less travelled

The latest in the “Yellow Umbrella” series, this painting is both lighter and darker than my previous works.  It depicts the girl with the umbrella at the end of a path, having walked through a dark forest.  She is still happily holding her umbrella, a symbol of protection, and I’d like to think the forest is something she is proud to have conquered.  This is one of my favourite works.
