Passing the storm

Part of the “Yellow Umbrella” series, there is a child-like quality to this painting. It shows the storm having past, but the girl still has her umbrella up – is she ready for another storm? Is she enjoying the peace under her umbrella? I love the feeling this painting evokes – it makes me smile at a time where smiles are not always so easily forthcoming.
