Colours in the storm

Part of the “Yellow Umbrella” series, this painting shows the freedom of being separate and away from the rain.  The umbrella still hangs to provide a space of protection if needed, but the girl is celebrating the colours above the storm. This painting shows a real sense of freedom and joy – much like I felt when I painted it.
