If I Could Only Fly

The first painted in the #cantfly series, this was painted the night I was discharged from hospital.  The #cantfly series of paintings was inspired by my time in hospital and the challenges I faced after discharge.  I felt extremely vulnerable and stripped bare after being in hospital for so long, and this piece came out of my feelings and fears that – even with wings – I might never fly again.  I believe this is one of the features in my gallery.
